Salary: £65,000-£80,000 depending on experience
Location: Scotland (Edinburgh / Glasgow), remote with occasional in-person sessions

Our technology platform “Hyble” empowers sales reps in the beverage industry to create on-demand marketing materials that are both brand-compliant and tailored for the specific account. Combined with our enterprise services, which enable the change management process and our cloud printing model that enables rapid turnaround print, we have a game-changing solution that the market is screaming out for.
This innovative approach makes sales reps lives easier by allowing them to support more accounts in less time while also drastically reducing the production of generic marketing content that often ends up in landfill.

Job requirements
What you’ll do
As a Technical Lead at hyble, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering impactful features and technical improvements, working on front-end and/or back-end systems to shape our products and architecture. You'll take ownership of engineering outcomes across the team, mentoring engineers, making strategic technology decisions, and driving technical excellence. You’ll be expected to contribute across the stack – with strengths in either front-end, fullstack or back-end development – while fostering a culture of innovation, high performance, and accountability.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our design, product, and engineering teams to create and optimize solutions that align with our technical vision. You’ll contribute to defining and building scalable, maintainable architecture using .NET on the back-end and/or React with TypeScript on the front-end.

What your responsibilities will be:
Technical Leadership
Shape and enhance our system architecture to support future growth, performance, and scalability.
Lead by example through high-quality code and technical decision-making.
Contribute to long-term technical direction and system design, making thoughtful decisions about trade-offs.
Drive improvements in performance, security, and reliability across the stack.
Feature Development
Own and deliver major features or components, ensuring high-quality execution from conception to deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement features for our user-facing products and internal tools.
Build high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions using .NET Core and/or React/TypeScript
Manage risk and trade-offs in engineering decisions, proactively identifying and resolving blockers.
Prototyping and Innovation
Identify and reduce technical debt, ensuring maintainability and scalability of the codebase.
Prototype and develop innovative solutions that enhance our platform, demonstrating new features or technical capabilities.
Advocate for continuous improvement in engineering practices and process.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, including the practical applications and implications of AI/ML on software development methodologies, tooling, and team efficiency.
Mentorship & Collaboration
Act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, architecture, and problem-solving.
Collaborate across teams, working closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to define and implement solutions.
What you’ll bring
Leadership experience: Proven Experience in technical leadership roles, ideally leading cross-functional development teams.
Technical Expertise: Strong experience with back-end (.NET Core, Entity Framework, SQL) or front-end (React, TypeScript) technologies
System Design: Ability to design and implement complex systems with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Collaboration Skills: Thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver impactful features.
Problem-Solving Ability: Combine creativity with a pragmatic approach to solving real-world problems, delivering exceptional user experiences.
Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Agile Experience: Familiar with Agile software development practices and thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Commitment to Learning: Desire to grow professionally, with opportunities for ongoing training and educational development.

Full-Stack Expertise: The versatility and big-picture thinking of the full-stack skillset is a huge value-add for our cross-functional teams
Cloud Expertise: Much of our infrastructure is hosted on Azure with some data storage on AWS. Experience of either of these platforms would be good.
Node: We have some services written in Node.
Python: Data and AI are key areas of growth for us – Python is the language for this.
AI/ML Awareness: Awareness of current trends in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a keen interest in how these technologies are shaping the future of software development, from code generation to automated testing and deployment.
