Title: Design & Print Quality Control Executive (2-3 years experience)
Reporting to: Design Manager
Hours: 9-5 GMT
Location: 2 days per week in the Glasgow office and 3 days working from home, with occasional travel to Edinburgh for company meet-ups. We are looking for candidates based within the Glasgow area in Scotland.
Contract: Fixed Term (1st September to 28th November 2025, with the possibility to extend)
Salary: £26,000 per annum, pro rated to reflect the contract length

Job requirements
About the role:
We are seeking a Design & Print Quality Control Executive with a detail-oriented, technical approach to join our Custom Design Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional within design and print to focus on quality assurance of point-of-sale and marketing materials for some of the world’s leading wine and spirits brands.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that all creative output not only meets brand guidelines and compliance requirements but also upholds the highest design and print standards.
What you’ll do:
As a Design & Print Quality Control Executive, you will be responsible for:
Proof Checking Dimensions & Layout
Reviewing page sizes and template sizes for accuracy.
Checking overall composition to ensure the design is well-balanced and visually appealing.
Proof Checking Visual Quality
Ensuring watermark placement is correct and consistent.
Verifying that all text is legible and accessible (e.g. appropriately sized for readability).
Checking resolution and quality of design and image files.
Proof Checking Compliance & Brand Standards
Reviewing branded legal text for accuracy and compliance.
Ensuring designs comply with brand guidelines, state regulations, and legal standards.
Identifying problematic content (e.g. cocktail names or imagery that could be non-compliant).
Proof Checking Content Accuracy
Reviewing spelling and grammar (using the US Dictionary standard).
Confirming that all copy is displayed clearly and consistently across materials.
What you’ll bring:
A strong eye for detail and passion for accuracy in design.
Knowledge of print production and quality assurance processes.
Familiarity with accessibility standards in design (text legibility, layout balance).
Strong understanding of branding, compliance, and legal considerations in marketing design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or similar design tools.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
